We're Hiring: Part-Time Managing Director
Collaborative Cataloging Japan (CCJ) is seeking a part-time Managing Director to help lead the organization's next chapter.
CCJ is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation, research, and presentation of Japanese experimental film and video. Since 2015, we have worked with artists, archives, scholars, and cultural institutions internationally to preserve and share groundbreaking works and their histories.
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in Japanese avant-garde and experimental film and video who is excited about helping sustain and grow a small, mission-driven arts organization.
Working closely with the Founding Director, Board of Directors, and collaborators, the Managing Director will help oversee CCJ's organizational operations, fundraising and institutional development, and ongoing programs and partnerships. The position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to CCJ's future during an important period of organizational transition.
We welcome applicants from a range of professional backgrounds, including arts administration, curatorial practice, film and media preservation, nonprofit management, and fundraising. Japanese-language proficiency is welcome but not required.
Position: Part-Time Managing Director
Location: Remote; applicants based in the United States or internationally are welcome
Compensation: $25,000 annually, with opportunities for compensation growth as CCJ's financial resources and organizational capacity expand. Employment or contractual arrangements will depend on the candidate's location and applicable legal requirements.
