第26回 ヴィデオアート研究会【12月6日】研究会開催のお知らせ
「Community of Images アメリカ、フィラデルフィアから日本の戦後映像芸術を振り返る」
内容
昨年６月に米フィラデルフィアのArtAllianceほかで、日本のアーティストによる実験的な映像表現と、北米とのつながりを探る展覧会「Community of Images: Japanese Moving Image Artists in the US,1960s–1970s」が開催されました。前衛映画、パフォーマンス、デザイン、拡張映画、個人記録映画、音響、ヴィデオなど幅広い実践を取り上げ、当時の様々なテーマに焦点を当てた展覧会でした。今回はその主催団体CCJ（コラボラティブ・カタロギング・ジャパン）から足立アンさんをお招きし、同展の企画背景やプロセス、日米の作家たちの軌跡ほかCCJの活動をお聞きします。

ゲストスピーカー略歴：足立アン
コラボラティヴ・カタロギング・ジャパン
エグゼクティヴ・ディレクター。同団体は組織や個人が保持する日本の実験的映像作品のコレクションを対象として、アーカイヴやメディアへの保存の支援を行なっている。ニューヨーク近代美術館で、C-MAP（Contemporary and Modern Art Perspectives）と呼ばれる同館のグローバルな研究イニシアチブのプロジェクトを担当し、デジタルプラットフォームpost（post.at.moma.org）の立ち上げに貢献した経験を持つ。2009年には、ビデオアートのアーカイヴであり配給組織でもあるElectronic Arts Intermixで、日本の実験映像作品の巡回上映と出版「Vital Signals」を企画し、ディストリビューション・コーディネーターを務めた。また、東京国立近代美術館、テート・モダン（ロンドン）、慶応義塾大学アートセンター（東京）、Archives of American Art（ワシントンDC）ほか、昨年はフィラデルフィアで「Community of Images: Japanese Moving Image Artists in the US, 1960s-1970s」（https://www.collabjapan.org/community-of-images）など、日本におけるメディア・アーカイヴの現状に関する展示企画、講演や執筆を行っている。
Overview (this talk will be in Japanese)
Last June, the exhibition Community of Images: Japanese Moving Image Artists in the US, 1960s–1970s was held at Art Alliance and other venues in Philadelphia, USA. The exhibition explored experimental moving-image practices by Japanese artists and their connections with North America, highlighting a wide range of practices including avant-garde film, performance, design, expanded cinema, personal documentary film, sound, and video, and focusing on the diverse themes of that era.
For this session, we welcome Ann Adachi-Tasch from the organizing institution, Collaborative Cataloging Japan (CCJ), who will speak about the background and process of organizing the exhibition, the trajectories of Japanese and American artists, and CCJ’s broader activities.
