日本映像学会東部支部 と米国非営利団体法人コラボラティブ・カタロギング・ジャパン(CCJ) が共催企画で提供する「日米のオルタナティブ・映像アーカイブの成り立ちと現在で方向性」は日本と米国における映像作品のオルタナティブ・アーカイブの歴史的背景の議論を踏まえ、現在日本で個人や小規模団体が草の根作業で行う事例やそのカタロギングのメソッドついて焦点をあてます。ニューヨーク大学映像保存学科(NYU MIAP)の招聘者を交えたレクチャーやワークショップの中で参加者や主催者が集い、今日の映像やメディア作品の維持に関する問題点を話し合う場の提供を目指しています。またニューヨーク大学MIAPの招聘者が日本の映像アーカイブに関わる専門家に出会い、知識や情報を交換するプログラムでもあります。



In collaboration with Nihon University College of Art and Japan Society of Image Arts and Sciences (JASIAS), CCJ is pleased to present a day-long workshop titled "The Development and Future Direction of Alternative Moving Image Archives in the U.S. and Japan," on November 26th, 2016. Presentations by Professor Mona Jimenez of Moving Image Archiving & Preservation program at New York University and Akira Tochigi, The National Museum of Modern Art Tokyo, Film Center. 

In the afternoon, Professor Jimenez will demonstrate the methods of Community Archiving Workshop. For those interested, please submit your application as described in the flyer by November 10th.
